California Business Roundtable The California Business Roundtable is a non-partisan organization composed of chief executive officers (including James E. Little, Chairman/President & CEO, of Employers Direct Insurance Company) of California's leading corporations. Established in 1976, the Roundtable was created to permit senior business leaders to play an active role in the formulation and evaluation of public policy. Roundtable members are committed to supporting public policies that foster vigorous economic growth, a vibrant economy and a well-educated and productive workforce that is essential for the state's future competitiveness. http://www.cbrt.org http://www.cbrt.org/who_members.html California Grocers Association (CGA) The CGA is a non-profit, statewide-trade association that has represented the food industry since 1898. CGA represents approximately 500 retail members operating over 6,000 food stores in California and Nevada, and approximately 300 grocery supplier companies. California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA) The CH&LA is the largest and most influential state lodging association and is a Partner State of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. The association’s history of service to California's lodging industry reaches back to 1893 and has consistently built on the goals and objectives first established, continuing to represent and serve all the unique interests of each segment of California's diverse lodging industry. http://www.calodging.com

California Independent Grocers Association (CIGA) CIGA has represented the independent retail food industry since the late 1800's, and today, membership includes over 800 independent grocers and supplier companies. CIGA is the voice of the independent grocer, representing members at all levels of government: city, county, state, and federal. CIGA's mission is to be the best possible association by promoting, supporting, educating, protecting, and fulfilling the needs of the independent grocer. http://www.ciga.org Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) PIHRA was founded as the Personnel and Industrial Relations Association by a small group of Los Angeles personnel executives in 1944. They organized to provide a forum in which HR professionals could exchange ideas, increase their industry knowledge, and work together to improve the profession. In 1959, PIHRA became affiliated with the Society of Human Resource Management. Today PIHRA is the largest SHRM chapter in the country with more than 4,900 members representing more than 3,000 companies in Southern California. http://www.pihra.org Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS)
RIMS is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the practice of risk management, a professional discipline that protects physical, financial, and human resources. Founded in 1950, RIMS represents nearly 4,000 industrial, service, nonprofit, charitable, and governmental entities. RIMS serves more than 10,000 risk management professionals around the world. http://www.rims.org Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) A love for cars, trucks and SUVs is the motivating force behind the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). This trade association consists of a diverse group of manufacturers, distributors, retailers, publishing companies, auto restorers, street rod builders, restylers, car clubs, race teams, and more. Today, the nearly 40-year-old organization works hard to protect consumers' rights to drive accessorized, customized, and vintage vehicles, and also server as a watchdog on legislators in Washington, D.C., and throughout the nation.
